FREE GUIDED EXERCISE

The feeling won't stop screaming until you listen to it.

You cannot win an argument with a baby. You can offer it candy, toys, hugs, the family pet, and if that's not what the baby needs, the baby keeps crying. Your emotions work the same way. If you feel like shit and you can't name why, there's a feeling in you that needs something, and it will keep screaming until it gets exactly that.

Unlike a baby, you can ask your emotions what they need, and get an answer. That's what this exercise does. Find somewhere safe, press play, and close your eyes.

It takes about 15 minutes. Best with headphones, worst with a meeting in ten.

Come back whenever it starts crying again.

This is a practice you can keep. Any time you notice an emotion crying out, especially one that lingers, pull this page up and run the exercise again. Your loudest emotions are signals pointing at what you actually want. Sometimes all you have to do is listen.
